Until 1972, Coen Baljon, one of the names behind Baljon & Mora, worked for the renowned real estate broker Joan Kuijk from Rotterdam’s leading association of real estate agents, known as ERMOG. It was there that Coen learnt his trade and it was also the first agency in Rotterdam to develop a system for sharing details of the range of available properties between the various Rotterdam agencies. Coen Baljon earned his spurs but outgrew the agency, convinced that there was a better way.
Coen Baljon joins forces with his good friend Jan Mora, real estate broker in Utrecht, and they set up a real estate agency on Straatweg in Hillegersberg. Baljon & Mora has become a reality.
Real estate agency Baljon & Mora rapidly becomes a household name in Rotterdam in alliance with Ton Lauwaars and Bets Stevens (later Ton Lauwaars makelaardij).
In response to the sharp downturn in the housing market, Coen Baljon decides to continue in business on his own.
Following the recovery in the housing market, Erik Jan van Geijn joins Baljon & Mora and the agency expands to become what it now is.
Karel Glazener and Marco van Rooij join the agency.
Coen Baljon enters retirement, while continuing to act as consultant for Baljon & Mora.
Just as the recession starts, Karel Glazener and Marco van Rooij take over the agency from Erik Jan van Geijn. In the same year, Baljon & Mora achieves Rotterdam’s highest-value residential property transaction.
Baljon & Mora again achieves Rotterdam’s highest-value residential property transaction and also sells the year’s most expensive apartment, the penthouse in the Montevideo residential tower block on the Wilhelmina Pier.
Baljon & Mora sells the newly-constructed “sky apartments” in the Montevideo residential tower block for ING Real Estate.
Baljon & Mora achieves Rotterdam’s three highest-value residential property transactions.
Baljon & Mora sells newly-constructed apartments in the New Orleans residential tower block on the Wilhelmina Pier for Vesteda.
Baljon & Mora joins the Qualis group and achieves Rotterdam’s highest-value residential property transaction.
